Police say the 17-year-old girl that crashed her car into a house after a police chase, fled because she didn’t have a license or car insurance.

The teen, who has not been identified, crashed into a home on the 200 block of G Street in Carlisle around 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police say they tried to pull over the vehicle near North Pitt Street and C Street for an expired inspection, but the 17-year-old took off and led a short police chase.

Trooper Adam Reed says, “If she would have pulled over, she would have just been looking at some fines and a few traffic citations.”

Now, the teen is facing several charges including felony charges of attempting to elude a police officer and criminal mischief.

Police say there were two passengers in the car and one was treated for minor injuries.
