GREENCASTLE, Pa. (WHTM) – State police have identified the third person who died after a shooting in Franklin County.
Brandon Cole, 47, of Fayetteville, was dead inside a barn when troopers arrived at a home on Welsh Run Road in Montgomery Township on Saturday night, police said in a news release Monday.
Wendy Chaney, 39, of Hagerstown, Maryland, also was found dead in the barn and 36-year-old Phillip Jackson of Greencastle was flown to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Troopers had responded to a report of shots fired in the area. They said the motive is unknown at this time and the investigation continues.
There is no known suspect.
Neighbors told ABC27 News that Jackson moved into the home a couple years ago.
“All he did down there was shoot and shoot, constantly shooting,” Virginia Clevenger said.
Several residents said the new neighbors gained a reputation for bringing noise into the area.
“They even had a meeting,” Clevenger said. “A lot of the neighbors got together and had a meeting about this, but they didn’t do nothing about it.”
