CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating a third paintball shooting in western Cumberland County.

A 51-year-old man told troopers a yellow paintball hit his car door as he was driving on Route 11, between Mt. Rock Road and Route 233, in West Pennsboro Township around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

State police in Carlisle are investigating two similar incidents during the past week.

An 18-year-old Gardners man said a paintball hit him in the neck while he was driving on Route 11, also in West Pennsboro Township. He said the paintball came from a vehicle going in the opposite direction.

A 35-year-old Penn Township woman reported that she was struck in the back Sunday afternoon while sweeping her front stoop in the 1500 block of Walnut Bottom Road

She believed the paintball came from a black SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, that continued west on Walnut Bottom Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Carlisle at 717-249-2121.
