Salvation Army gets $750,000 grant

Hometown heroes are working to break the cycle of poverty across the state.

State Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) just announced a $750,000 grant that benefits Salvation Army.

The money will be used to expand the organization’s Pathway of Hope initiative. The program focuses on long-term goal planning for impoverished families and connects them to services for jobs, health, housing, child care and education.

They’ll also work with a Salvation Army case manager for social and spiritual support.
