HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A teacher and former head basketball coach at Steelton-Highspire High school has been arrested on allegations he tried to arrange a sexual encounter with a minor on the Internet.

Michael Pilsitz is also accused of having sexual contact with an 18-year-old woman in exchange for money, according to Swatara Township police.

Pilsitz, 40, of Steelton, was arrested Wednesday and charged with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of a minor, promoting prostitution of a minor, patronizing prostitutes, and criminal solicitation of patronizing prostitutes.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 10.

Pilsitz coached the Steel-High boys basketball team to a PIAA Class AAA championship in 2008.
