Target to bring 250 jobs to York County


YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Target Corporation plans to create more than 250 new jobs over the next three years at a new distribution site in York County.

Target will lease an existing 625,000-square-foot facility in West Manchester Township and plans to invest more than $52 million to establish that site as its new online fulfillment center, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

The facility will be managed by a third-party vendor, GENCO.

Target received a funding proposal from the DCED including $512,000 in job creation tax credits and $115,200 for guaranteed free training that will be used to train its expanding workforce.

Hiring for the new facility is to begin in the coming months.
