Woodturning is the process of turning wood while using sharp tools to carve the wood into a desired shape. Experts Troy Nethaway and Bob Silverman were outside to tell us more as well as give us a demonstration.
“We have examples all around us. Of course, the bread and butter of wood turning is a bowl. Other items include porch posts, railing busters, salt and pepper mills, rolling pins, and much more,” tells Nethaway.
“we have fifty-three members and hold our meetings the second Tuesday of every month at the woodcraft store on Union Deposit Rd, just behind the Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Anyone can join!
