(WHTM) — With Lent quickly approaching, it can be hard to find delicious meals that don’t contain meat. However, you can never go wrong with a fish fry.
Here is a list of fish frys throughout the Midstate:
Chambers Hill Fire Company
Chambers Hill Fire Company located at 6400 Chambers Hill Road in Harrisburg will be holding their fish frys on Feb. 17, Feb. 24, March 3, March 10, March 17, March 24, and March 31 (on the Fridays of Lent). The dinners will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are “all you can eat.” Meals cost $14 a person and take out is available.
Fisherville Volunteer Fire Company No.1
Fisherville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 located at 16 Church Street in Halifax will be holding their fish frys on Feb. 17, March 3, March 17, and March 31 (on the Fridays of Lent). The fish fry will be running from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Good Shepherd Catholic Church
Good Shepherd Catholic Church located on 3435 Trindle Road in Camp Hill will be holding their first fry on Fridays from Feb. 24 to March 31. The fish fry will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Holy Spirit Catholic Church
Holy Spirit Catholic Church located on 300 West Pine Street in Palmyra will be holding their annual fish fry on Fridays from Feb. 24 to March 31 from 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can dine-in, order online, and get the meal curbside to go.
Londonderry Fire Company
Londonderry Fire Company located at 2655 Foxianna Road in Middletown will be holding their fish fry on every Friday starting Feb. 24 through April 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can dine-in or takeout.
Our Lady Help of Christian’s Church
Our Lady Help of Christian’s Church located at 732 East Main Street in Lykens will be holding their weekly fish fry beginning on Friday, Feb. 24 and continuing each Friday through March 31. There will be a variety of fish and seafood, both baked and fried. You can receive your fish fry dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you are interested in take-out orders, you can call 717-453-9931. There won’t be a fish fry on Good Friday.
Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes located at 225 Salt Road in Enola will be holding their annual fish fry beginning on Feb. 24 and continuing every Friday until March 31. They will also have crabcakes, pierogies, and mac and cheese. Dinners are eat in or takeout and available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church
St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church located at 5408 Locust Lane in Harrisburg will be holding their fish frys on every Wednesday throughout Lent, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dinner will cost $12 and there will also be frozen pierogis and kielbasa during the event. Saint Catherine Labouré Parish
Saint Catherine Labouré Parish located at 4000 Derry Street in Harrisburg will be offering Fish Fry Dinners beginning on Friday, Feb. 24 through March 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be fried or baked fish, or crab cake dinners, available for eat in or take out. Dinners cost $12 and include cole slaw, and your choice of a baked potato, French fries, or homemade mac and cheese, plus a drink or dessert. There will also be homemade frozen pierogis by the dozen that will be available for takeout.
Seven Sorrows Catholic Church
Seven Sorrows Catholic Church located at 280 North Race Street in Middletown will be holding their annual fish fry drive-thru beginning Friday, Feb. 24 and continuing weekly through March 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will also be chocolate eggs available in peanut butter, coconut, and butter cream.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish located at 310 Hertzler Road in Mechanicsburg will be holding their fish fry every Friday during Lent from 4 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out). There will be a rotating adult and children’s menu and you’ll be able to dine-in or take-out.
St. Lawrence Club
St. Lawrence Club located at 13 Highland Street in Steelton will be holding their Lenten Fish Fry every Friday from Feb. 24 to March 31. You can get your meal from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday. There will also by live music every week starting at 7 p.m. April 7 there will not be any entertainment and food will be served while supplies last.
St. Rose of Lima Church
St. Rose of Lima Church located at 950 West Market Street in York will be holding their Lenten seafood dinner fundraiser on Fridays through March 31. You can get your meal from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center Dining Room. If you’d like to place a take-out order, you can call 717-848-1207. There will also be dessert floor, where you will be able to pick from a wide assortment of homemade and bought desserts.
