Some Midstate girl scouts attended the Class of 2018 Gold Award luncheon at Hershey Lodge on Saturday.

They were recognized for making central Pennsylvania a better place.

The Gold to Great ceremony recognizes 60 girl scouts who identified a problem in their community that needed to be solved, from civic engagement to helping those with disabilities.

One scout from Camp Hill trained a Susquehanna Service Dog and worked to educate the public about service dog training.
