Susquehanna Township Director of Public Safety: Motorcyclist dies after Wednesday crash on US 22/322


–A crash between a logging truck and three motorcycles has occured on US 22 westbound between Exit: PA 39 – LINGLESTOWN/ROCKVILLE and Exit: PA 443 – FISHING CREEK. All lanes closed.

SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — According to Susquehanna Township Director of Public Safety Robert Martin, emergency crews responded to a crash on Route 22/322 West where it intersects with Route 39. The crash involved a logging truck and two motorcycles. One of the motorcycle drivers, identified as 33-year-old Jamie Shay, was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital and has now died.

The other motorcycle driver reported no injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene. The two motorcycles involved were part of a funeral procession.

Susquehanna Township Police and the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team are currently investigating the crash and asking other witnesses to call police.
