LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A group of students at Hempfield High School organized a charity fundraiser to help the lives of people around the world.
You may remember last May, Bella Marco joined us in studio to tell us about the students with a mission.
Marco created a club at the school to help enrich the lives of others.
The students raised over four-thousand dollars to help the Maisha Project in Kenya.
The non-profit helps more than six-hundred children by addressing problems in their communities including poverty, under-education and water quality.
The money raised helped buy playground equipment, so the children at the project can have fun after learning.
