Facebook was experiencing widespread outages that prevented users from posting to its social media platform Wednesday afternoon.
The company also reported issues with Facebook Messenger, the Instagram photo and video-sharing service, and its WhatsApp Messenger.
The problems started around noon.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” the social media giant reported on its Twitter page.
Facebook said the issue is not related to a denial of service attack.
