The Pennsylvania Turnpike says a Lancaster County woman owes nearly $92,000 in unpaid tolls and fees.
Lori Yearick, of Mount Joy, is accused of skipping toll booths more than 1,600 times. She faces a felony charge of theft.
“We’re charging it as theft of services, but the crimes code says a theft is a theft. no matter how big of form the theft is,” Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike says Yearick owes more than $25,000 in unpaid tolls and $65,000 in fees.
“Our goal is to go after the most egregious toll violators that we have, and it’s quite a lot,” said Ray Morrow of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
Yearick’s attorney did not return phone calls for comment.
