YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Yorktowne Business Institute will close at the end of its spring term on June 15.
The career school announced the closure Thursday, citing an enrollment that has declined from nearly 300 students in 2004 to 60 this year.
According to a statement, YTI Career Institute in York and Lancaster, Keystone Technical Institute in Harrisburg, and Consolidated School of Business in York and Lancaster have stepped forward to help transition students from YBI to their schools.
YBI was founded in 1976 and has offered a variety of programs including two-year specialized associate degrees in the fields of business, medical and culinary arts.
The school employs 39 full and part-time faculty and staff.
