Longtime Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones left an indelible mark in franchise history and in the Baltimore community but, after 11 seasons, Jones is heading to Arizona.

Jones will be signing with the Diamondbacks on a one year, $3 million dollar deal.

The center fielder made five All-Star appearances and won several awards for his work in the Baltimore communites, while becoming one of the most beloved members of the city. Jones was rumored to be on the trading block during the 2018 season, but told the franchise he did not want to leave before season’s end, a campaign that resulted in the worst record in franchise history.

Jones played in 1,613 games with the Orioles.
