(WHTM) — Each week on abc27 Friday Night Football, the sports team picks the two best plays of the week from Friday night football action to go head to head in a voting competition.

This is the full list of Plays of the Week and will be updated throughout the 2022-23 Central PA high school football season.

Week 1

In Week 1 action, Red Lion’s Garrett Coppersmith had himself a night against Ephrata. The senior wide receiver goes over his defender for his second touchdown of the night, plus he knocked in the game deciding field goal. But is that better than our second option? Upper Dauphin’s Brady Morgan goes 98 yards for the touchdown against Williams Valley.

Week 2

In Week 2 action, J.P. McCaskey’s Quimeak Talton takes a kickoff return 73 yards to the house down the sideline in the Tornadoes loss to Elizabethtown. But is that better than our second option? From Thursday Night Football, Susquehanna Township’s Darian Brown makes the one handed interception in Hanna’s first win since 2020.

Week 3

In Week 3 action, Garden Spot’s Tyler Hurst drops Conestoga Valley’s quarterback in the backfield. But is that better than our second option? From Manheim Central’s Aaron Enterline makes an incredible catch off the Zac Hahn pass.

Week 4

In Week 4 action, Steel-Highs’s Durrell Ceasar Jr. hangs on in the back of the end zone for a touchdown in the Rollers blowout win over Boiling Springs. But is that better than our second option? From Lancaster Catholic’s Jaevon Parker making every defender miss on his way to the end zone.

Week 5 will be updated after Friday Night Football on September 23.

Friday Night Football returns for its 26th season on abc27. Started in 1997 by longtime abc27 Sports Director Gregg Mace, FNF was the first of its kind in Central PA.

Back in 2018, the show was expanded to 45 minutes of highlights, analysis and reaction. It remains the longest show in the Midstate highlighting high school football for thirteen weeks of the season.

You can watch abc27 Friday Night Football starting at 11:15 p.m. each Friday night on television, or on the web on our Watch Live page. Allie Berube, Nick Petraccione, Jared Phillips and John Repetz break down the best games in the area, bring you closer to the action and give you a comprehensive look at the Mid Penn Conference, Lancaster-Lebanon League and YAIAA each week.
