Line Mountain walks off in extras for program’s first state softball crown

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) — For the second straight game, Line Mountain managed to score just one run. For the second straight game, it was all the Eagles needed.

Line Mountain went into extra innings with Ligonier Valley in Thursday morning’s state 2A championship, but a two-out hit in the bottom in the ninth from Kaely Walshaw lifted the program to its first state title in school history.
