STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) — Penn State football officially held their first practice of fall camp on Monday evening to open the 2022-2023 season.

The team wore shells in their first practice and during the media viewing period were running through individualized position drills.

Head coach James Franklin said at the Big Ten Media Days last week in Indianapolis that this year’s Penn State team has more depth than he has had in the last several seasons, an indication that there should be some good battles heading into camp with a lot of starting spots up for grabs, especially on defense.

We will continue to bring you updates throughout fall camp.
