Two of Penn State’s top players took home Big Ten postseason honors Monday.
Penn State guard Josh Reaves earned conference Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Monday voted by the Big Ten coaches. According to a Penn State athletics media release, he led the conference in steals in the 2018-19 season with 77 which is 27 more than the nearest competitor.
He currently has 247 steals in his career which is good for No. 2 all-time at Penn State.
Penn State forward Lamar Stevens earned First Team All-Big Ten honors voted by the conference’s coaches as well. According to another Penn State athletics media release, Stevens averages 20 points and 7.6 rebounds per conference game. He is one of two players to rank in the league’s top-10 in both categories.
Stevens earned Second Team All-Big Ten voted by media members.
