Mubashir Mumtaz, MD, FACS, FACC

Dr. Mumtaz completed general surgery residency training at the University of Connecticut and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He advanced his skills through post-fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Mumtaz is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (ISMICS). Dr. Mumtaz trains other physicians from across the country in the latest cardiovascular techniques and devices. He is dedicated to the central Pennsylvania community, living and working as a cardiovascular surgeon in Harrisburg for more than 15 years.

Hemal Gada, MD, MBA

Dr. Gada completed his internship, residency and chief residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. He completed fellowships at two prestigious institutions, Cleveland Clinic for cardiovascular medicine and Columbia University for interventional cardiology and structural intervention. Prior to coming to UPMC Pinnacle, Dr. Gada worked as an interventional cardiologist at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, where he also served as assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension.

Regina has more than 24 years of experience in the cardiothoracic intensive care nursing. In her role as a manager, Regina oversees patient care for the structural heart program at UPMC Pinnacle, which includes research and commercial devices. She received her nursing degree from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.

Amit N. Vora, MD, MPH

Dr. Vora is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and earned his Master’s degree in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health. He has advanced training in structural heart disease and completed his fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases at Duke University Medical Center. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology and specializes in complex coronary artery disease and advanced structural heart disease.
