EVENING: Record Heat and Breezy. Temps in the 80s
TONIGHT: Scattered Showers, Much Cooler Late. Lo 57.
THURSDAY: Scattered Showers, Much Cooler. Hi 59.
Today reached an all new record high of 91 degrees which beat the old record of 87 set in 1927. We continue very warm and breezy this evening before a cold front arrives later tonight to drop our temperatures roughly 30 degrees for Thursday! This front will also bring occasional light showers tonight and through much of Thursday. Rainfall amounts will average less than a quarter inch for most locations through Thursday.
Temperatures remain in the 50s for Thursday and Friday morning before skies clear Friday afternoon with breezy conditions lasting through Friday evening. As the winds relax Friday night and skies remain clear, temperatures will drop into the low 40s, which hasn’t happened since April!
The rest of Saturday features lots of sunshine with a seasonable afternoon high in the upper 60s. Clouds return Sunday as Gulf moisture arrives Sunday night into Monday. Early next week brings our best chance for a widespread soaking rain which we haven’t experienced in weeks!
