TONIGHT: Evening Storms, Then Partly Cloudy & Humid. Lo 70.
THURSDAY: Hot & Humid, Stray PM Storms. Hi 88.
FRIDAY: Less Humid and Breezy. Hi 84.
The majority of storm activity today occurred over Harrisburg and York and points east. This all happened with a front progressing west to east. Some places easily saw over an inch of rain, but western areas had nothing. Leftover rain for York, Lebanon, and Lancaster Counties should be heading east and out of the region by 8 PM at the latest. The rest of tonight should be mainly dry with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.
A secondary front tomorrow will trigger another line of storms tomorrow afternoon and evening. We do not expect a lot of rain from this line, but this is the cooler push of air arriving, so some gusty winds are possible with the storms. This will also drop the humidity starting Thursday night and Friday.
Speaking of Friday and the weekend…signs are pointing toward somewhat of a cooling trend with highs staying in the low to mid-80s and plenty of sunshine. It should be sunny, dry, and less humid for the weekend. The air will feel much nicer and outdoor activities should be able to go off without a hitch. Enjoy!
